Collages à partir de Tirage Lambda sur Papier Haute Réflexion Fujiflex 250g, 2019.
Par un processus fantomal de déstructuration et de recomposition, une photographie datant de 1983 est explorée dans son espace grâce à la technique du collage. L’image acquiert ici de nouvelles possibilités d’existence. Des actions telles que la découpe, le réagencement ou l’agrandissement du cliché permettent de revivifier l’instant figé.L’annotation sur le dos de la photographie originelle ne fait pas référence au sujet pris en photo : «See telephone cable on wall of house on opposite side of lane».
Cet étrange description du cliché est le point de départ d’un travail qui creuse les rapports entre réalité, image et texte dans une collection personnelle de photos de famille.
A photograph dated 1983 is deconstructed and recomposed through the collage technique; the space represented is thus explored and the image acquires new possibilities of existence. Cutting, rearranging, enlarging the original photograph allows to enliven the instant of the shot.
On the back of the photograph, the annotation does not refer to the subject portrayed, but to a telephone cable that runs along the facade of the building that can be glimpsed outside the window.
This singular legend is the starting point of a research on the relationship between image and text in a collection of family photos.
